Sensory and Disability Friendly Experiences

Wexford on Ice:

Sensory and wheelchair family skate sessions take place every Saturday morning from 9am – 10am.  These sessions give those who wouldn’t normally get the chance to go skating to have their very own special session, where the music and lighting is turned down.  It’s fun for all the family to get involved – parents and guardians can join their children with or without skates.  Wheelchair users can take their wheels directly onto the ice!

Date:  Every Saturday
Time:  9am – 10am
Tickets:  These sessions are free, we just ask for a donation to our charity fund on the day. There is no need to book in advance, just turn up!

Santa’s North Pole Experience

This year every session on Santa’s North Pole Experience can be adapted to suit those with disabilities or sensory concerns. Simply let us know in the comment section of your online order if this is required and we will have it organised prior to your arrival.

What’s included in a sensory and disability adapted session?
– Volume levels throughout the experience are reduced
– Lighting is appropriately adjusted including no flash or strobe lighting
– Signing by Santa and his elf in Santa’s library is available
– Entire experience is wheelchair friendly

If you would like to enquire to see if your session can be adapted in a particular manor or have any questions about sensory and disability sessions, please give us a ring at (053) 9121974 or email us info@lantern.ie.
